The Measured Record
The honest numbers
Everything else on this site is measured, so these are too — and every one of them is a person Christopher is grateful for. The thank-you page says it properly.
Right now, the monthly audience is small enough to count: 34 listeners. Here's what those 34 do: they average 10.7 streams each per month, up 57% in 28 days, while total streams more than doubled. Six of them are super-listeners. Saves are up 423%. And 97% of the audience is active month over month.
The sharpest number: 83% of all listening comes from people choosing the music — his profile, their own libraries and playlists. The machine hasn't found him yet. The people who have, stay — at a depth most catalogs never see.
In July 2026 the humans went first: the single "Dirt Crown" was featured on the July 24 Michigan Music Showcase — covered by Local Spins, West Michigan's music press of record — with airplay on WYCE 88.1 FM (Grand Rapids) and Interlochen Public Radio, alongside artists like Michigander and Seth Bernard.
"The Michigan Music Showcase also featured fresh tracks from Seth Bernard, Michigander, Christopher Jager, The Westrins, Adam Marth, Rip Smidgeon and Folias Duo."

Pull the window wider and the shape gets clearer. Since mid-January — Jan 14 to Aug 3, 2026 — the catalog logged 2,003 streams from 108 unique listeners, with 260 saves and 244 playlist adds. Listeners are up 16%, from about 93.
One number in that window needs its context printed next to it: streams per listener fell from 43.9 in the prior period to 18.5. That prior period contains the December launch — five albums in 21 days — so the drop is launch-spike math, not audience loss. The number that grew is the one that matters: more people, 93 to 108, each listening less intensely than launch week. That's a widening circle, not a shrinking one.
And the longest Spotify view on record, the trailing twelve months (Aug 2, 2025 – Aug 1, 2026): 6,083 streams, 33 monthly active listeners. Different window, same small honest room.
Best of all, Spotify's fan insights (as of Aug 3, 2026) put a number on the core: 100 Engaged Fans — the platform's own tally of listeners with meaningful repeat engagement. That number has its own page.

Apple Music keeps a different ledger — lifetime, as of August 3, 2026: 1.4K plays (past the 1,000 mark on May 2, 2026), 20 Shazams (past 10 on January 25, 2026), and one tracked radio spin. Twenty Shazams means twenty strangers heard a song out in the wild and reached for their phone to identify it — nobody Shazams on command. The doorway song is different there, too: "Split Decision" leads at 225 plays (it hit 100 on March 19, 2026), ahead of "Craving Shadows" at 111, "Unmedicated" at 106, "Too Many Goodbyes" at 62, and "Butterfly" at 54. Different platforms crown different doorway songs — which is what a deep catalog is for. And the city list says something the hometown chart never could: Detroit, at 537 plays, outranks Muskegon's 401, with Grand Rapids at 186 and Fresno (48) and Dallas (26) on the board. That's reach past any personal circle.
And Spotify is the small room. Before this page existed, the catalog ran a proof-of-demand test it didn't plan: 65,601 SoundCloud plays in twelve months — up 100% year over year — with top tracks near 3,000 plays apiece and one listener alone at 710 plays. Then Christopher pulled 90% of the catalog off the platform. The listening was real and it mattered; the economics didn't work, and a catalog needs both. The music now lives where listening counts.
Context: how this compares
Numbers without context are decoration. The left column is measured; the right column is the industry reference it should be read against — and only a reference with a name and a date gets printed here.
Measured here · vs · a named industry reference
seven tracks over 2,500 on one platformper Luminate's 2023 data, about 86% of tracks on streaming services drew fewer than 1,000 plays in that year
For scale on the output: this catalog reached 150 songs in roughly six months of production, November 2025 to May 2026, written around factory shifts, with the verification system built alongside it. Almost nobody, at any tier, writes and finishes at that pace.
The audience is 34 people, 33 of them active every month. That's the honest part. What those 34 do — repeat-listening depth, save rate, active-choice share, retention — is stronger than the headline number suggests, and none of it was bought. Whether a small deep audience becomes a large one is a different question, and nothing here answers it.
